Killington VT
Mom and Dad wandered up this way on one of their extended
excursions, and got a condo at Killington in early May of 2002. Rita
trained up to Meriden, and rode with us to Killington, surviving the SUV that
decided to change lanes while we were in it. Killington in early May is
very low season, as the snows are pretty much gone, and the leaves have pretty
much failed to show. Expect it to be cool days and cold nights, possibly
below freezing, and this is on the sunny days, this time of year. The
prime attraction for me was the hikes, and I recommend White Rocks hike south of
Rutland. Several waterfalls in the area add to the sightseeing, and
several places to catch moose, especially at dusk.
