Pace Bend Park, located northwest of Austin, offers relatively clear, clean water, a beach, and cliffs from 2 to 40 feet or more over the water, depending on the level of the lake. Primitive camping is just that, with some tables, and some of these have grills, so be prepared. Nonetheless, a great place to go for a great time.
